The response by the west is to say ‘two state solution.’ If they did impose that what chance would the Palestinians have of rebuilding. The flight of capital, the damage to the people who remain, the trauma and devastation of losing so many children, all of that suggests a rebuilding, even under the best circumstances, is a generational or multi-generational struggle. What we must do is make sure that we support a one democratic state in Palestine where all of the wealth accumulated by Israel goes to rebuilding Palestine.
Say no to two state solution, say yes to Free Free Palestine from the river to the sea!

1/ The two state solution is the program of the PLO, not “the West”.
2/ The two state solution is the only way Palestine can survive. The one state solution is very nice pie in the sky stuff but does not take into account the fact that 80% of Jewish-Israelis support the ethnic cleansing of Gaza and West Bank. Even if the Zionist government collapses and a single non-ethnic democratic state is built, the civil war will continue. Only a Palestinian state can protect Palestinians against Jewish-Israelis, at least for a generation or two after the war ends.
3/ The PLO has negotiated the two state solution with China and the Arab states, long before Europe got interested . China has committed to fund (loans) the reconstruction of Gaza, prioritising housing then building an economic base. BRICS supports a Palestinian state. If, as China wants, Palestine retains the Gaza Marine gas field then it will have an independent economic base. Gaza has big shipping and tourism potential, just like it used to. The problem now is the ownership of the means of production, not the lack of them.
4/ The growing global momentum for an independent Palestinian state and the imminent collapse of the Netanyahu government is the first sign of hope since the collapse of the Oslo agreements.
5/ The only alternative to a Palestinian state is Trump Gaza and the Ben Gurion Canal, which is what will happen if the two state solution does not happen.
6/ The ALP membership and unions have successfully forced the Albo government to support the two state solution.

The original two state solution is a product of the Balfour declaration and the United Nations partition of Palestine in 1948.
The latter came from European guilt for its complicity in the Holocaust.

From 1974 on, the Rejectionist Front or similar initiatives were revived virtually every time Arafat or any other PLO leader made a conciliatory gesture towards Israel.
This is because the Palestinian people want the right of return to their original soil. Like indigenous people elsewhere, the Palestinians are strongly connected to land. That is why the Palestinian resistance will never, ever surrender Gaza to Israel.
And that is Israel is determined to kill all the Palestinians in Gaza. Israel has become genocidal land grabbing society that has dehumanised Palestinians. The West is complicit in the genocide.

I do not know a single Palestinian who supports the delusional two-state solution that you keep touting on social media platforms. In fact, I don’t know a single Arab who supports recognition of the genocidal state of Israel.
The Australian government has to cut all diplomatic ties with Israel. Albanese and Wong must impose immediate sanctions including an arms embargo on Israel.
