Caroline Hammond is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and story-teller. Her songs play with the tapestry of life, spinning joyous music from the grace and beauty of the overlooked, the everyday and the commonplace.
In the wonderful, musical company of Brendan St Ledger on keys and Craig Claxton on guitar, they‘ll introduce you to a new album of original songs from the forthcoming album ‘Hungerford Lane’ now in the studio.
Jumping Fences’ songs traverse working lives, migration and exile, and everyday hopes and joys. Their long association with Latin American music resonates deeply in their own compositions. They toured internationally to Cuba in 2017 and 2018, and nationally, they have performed at numerous festivals and venues in South-East Queensland and Victoria. They have composed songs for choirs and conducted workplace songwriting and performance projects in association with the Qld Council of Unions. They have released five recordings, most recently ‘Satellites’. You can listen to a selection of songs on Spotify, Youtube or Apple Music.

Feel free to bring any additional food and drinks. If you have a folding chair, we would certainly appreciate your bringing it along.

We are located at 31 Arras Street, Yeronga. The street runs off Park Road in Fairfield. Arras Street splits in two, take the left turn, and our house is on the right, about 70 metres from the turn. We have a hedge in front. On arrival, please make your way up the driveway and then along the left-hand side of the house on the lit pathway.
Admission
The admission price is $15 per person. We will have EFTPOS facilities available (preferred method of payment).
