Sue and Lachlan – Jumping Fences

Please reserve a place at Foco Nuevo

Fallen Angels

Fallen Angels features the exquisite voice of Amanda Gilmour, the tasteful accordion and harmonies of Rose Broe, and the ever so melodic precision of Andrew Heath on acoustic guitar, fretless bass and bouzouki.

For those who know Fallen Angels, the echoed tones of banjo and mandolin may surely float in the background throughout their performance; in remembrance of John Holmberg, always a Fallen Angel. Now Amanda, Rose and Andrew continue to create the music of Fallen Angels at the round table of chattering rehearsals and agreeable cups of tea and laughter.

Amanda’s passionate and cherished originals and a sprinkling of covers form their diverse repertoire of Folk, Country, Jazz, Celtic and Bluegrass music. Be ready to be brought in to a wonderful intimate space with these three performers.

Jumping Fences

Jumping Fences — the hosts of Foco Nuevo — play a unique mix of original and Latin American songs. The song-writing partnership of Sue Monk on guitar and vocals, and Lachlan Hurse on electric bass, together with James Harper on drums and Ross Gwyther on tenor sax and clarinet, perform arrangements that move easily between tenderness and energy. Over three decades their poetic and insightful lyrics have explored the lives and feelings of people living on the margins or caught in the midst of struggle.
