Israel’s Crucifixion of Mohammad Al Halabi

We post this plea by a Palestinian father for justice for his son, the former World Vision-Australia director for the West Bank and Gaza. We posted this story first in Oct 2020 with a plea that World Vision would do more to help Mohammad Al Halabi.

My name is Khalil El Halabi, the father of Mohammad Al Halabi (Gaza), the former World Vision-Australia director for WB and Gaza.

Mohammad was arrested on false allegations in June 2016 and is held in the notorious Ramon Prison, Negev Desert.

I am calling on all friends of Palestine to participate in a Month of Action in January by asking their members to take a minute to cut, paste and  send the following letter (SEE BELOW) demanding my innocent son’s immediate release.

Our family, including Mohammed’s 5 young children, are desperate to have him free and home again. We have lost more than four years of loving family life together.

Mohammad has been forced to attend court 155 times… attendance 155 will be on 31 January 2021
Please help my son.

Khalil El Halabi

Dear Minister Nissenkorn,

On humanitarian grounds I demand Israel immediately and unconditionally release of Mohammad Al Halabi held in Ramon  Prison, Negev Desert, because :

a) the allegations have been proven false through forensic investigations by the Australian  Government and World Vision International.

b) Mr Al Halabi physical and mental state is gravely deteriorating after having been beaten, tortured and callously forced to futilely attend court 155 times.

c) Israel as a UN member is obligated to uphold and protect Mohammad’s human rights who is a protected person under international humanitarian law, and is entitled to all of the protections of the Fourth Geneva Convention.

I further demand the release of all Palestinian political prisoners held in violation of international law.

Sincerely

  1. Father's letter to BBC says:

    Dear BBC,

This link is to an article written by the Guardian in 2019 and he lingers still in an Israeli Negev prison – held now for 4 long years.

Could the BBC show its compassionate nature and tell again the story of this man and his suffering family, please.

Below is a passionate letter written by the father of Mohammad Al Halabi, asking the World to seek his release
