Jumping Fences at the 2008 Queensland Multicultural Festival

Jumping Fences are playing this Sunday at the Queensland Multicultural Festival.

3pm – 3.20pm at Roma St Parkland

We will be playing as a five piece band, with Sue (guitar and vocals), Lachlan (bass), Ross Gwyther (tenor sax and clarinet), James Harper (percussion) and Dan Simpson (drums).

Australia Post fails in bid to link CEPU to Union Solidarity

The AIRC has rebuffed an attempt by Australia Post to establish a connection between the CEPU and left-wing community protest group Union Solidarity.

Australian Post applied to the AIRC for orders to stop unlawful industrial action on September 18 after it discovered Union Solidarity was organising a picket for later that day to prevent mail trucks entering or leaving its Dandenong Letters Centre. Continue reading
