    1. Hi everyone,
I received a call this afternoon from Joan Shears, organiser of the Palm Sunday rally, who has indicated that the rally will now be postponed due to a poor weather forecast.

Please pass this on to relevant individuals/networks.

      Regards
      Ewan

      1. Peace Rally now on SUNDAY 19th APRIL! says:

Big disappointment, having to postpone the Peace Rally on Palm Sunday – and with such short notice – but there was too much ‘wet ‘and the BOM (Bureau of Meteorology) was promising more of the same – We had no wish to cancel the Rally altogether so here we are.

      2. Peace Rally Cancelled says:

Editor’s Note: Message from Joan Shears — The Peace Rally is Sunday 19th April 2009 has been called off.

The RALLY FOR PEACE AND NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT INC committee will now concentrate on organising Hiroshima Day in August.

Hello everyone – hope you all are well and happy – but – I am very sorry to come with disappointing news – one more time – the Rally Committee has decided to cancel the Peace Rally on 19 April – the response has been very slow – it’s holiday time for lots of people, some apologies – many of our friends will be out of town, commitments already made and many other important, interesting things happening. so – we decided to call it a day, cancel it and direct our energies onward and upward – and think – August Hiroshima Nagasaki Day.
        All for now take care
        Joan
