#GazaUnderAttack

10th of July 2014

Israeli fighter jets attacked and bombed on Saturday Al Farouq Mosque in the Nusierat refugee camp Gaza, destroying it completely. Scattered burned copies of the Quran, the Muslim holy book can be seen strewn around the rubble. Local reports said that 5 people were injured in the bombing.

Meanwhile Dr. Ashraf Al Qedreh , the spokesman for the Palestinian health ministry announced that the latest number of victims of Israeli bombing campaign against Gaza has now reached 135 civilians dead many of whom were elderly men and women and children, while the number of injured victims has now reached 950 people.

On July 8 Israel launched Operation Protective Edge, calls up 40,000 reservists and says it is thinking about a full on ground invasion.

The campaign follows violence that erupted over the grisly murder of a Palestinian teen, Mohammad Abu Khdier who later was found to have burnt alive by Israeli settlers.

Meanwhile, the Arab World leadership continues to remain silent as Israel’s war machine targets Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip and the mainstream American media exaggerates alleged missile threats against Israelis. So far, 122 Palestinians, including 25 children, have been killed. No Israeli have been killed defining the immoral balance embraced by Israel’s right-wing government…http://thearabdailynews.com/2014/07/12/video-israeli-fighter-jets-bomb-civilians-mosque-gaza-nusierat-refugee-camp/

@bdssouthafrica Join us on FaceBook: www.facebook.com/bdssouthafrica#GAZA-UNDER-ATTACK: ISRAEL KILLS OVER 80 PALESTINIANS INCLUDING 18 CHILDREN IN ATTACKS ON GAZA STRIP

As of 10 July 2014 over 80 Palestinians including 18 children, an 84 year old grandmother and 1 journalist were killed by Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip. Human rights activists are describing the Israeli attacks as a “massacre”.

In one of the most deadliest attacks, Israel killed 8 members of the Kaware family home in Khan Younis including 6 children: Hussein (13), Bassem (10), Muhammad (13), Abdallah (12), Siraj (8) and Qassem (12). In another deadly Israeli attack, 6 members of one family were killed including the father, daughter, two uncles, an aunt and grandmother. Two Palestinian brothers, Mohammed Aarif (13) and 12-year-old Amir Aarif were killed in an air strike on Shejaiya, east of Gaza City, while another Israeli air strike in the nearby Zeitun district killed Amina Malaka (27) and her 18-month-old son Mohammed Malaka. Further north, another missile hit Beit Hanun, killing 40-year-old Sahar al-Masri and her 14-year-old son Ibrahim al-Masri.

The Palestinian Gaza Strip is the world’s largest open air prison with over 1,5 million Palestinians caged in and cut off by Israel from the rest of the world. The Palestinian Gaza Strip is the world’s most densely populated piece of land on this earth making the Israeli bombing of the Palestinian Gaza Strip all the more horrendous. The collective punishment and illegal siege by Israel of the Palestinian people of Gaza must immediately end. Archbishop Desmond Tutu has described the Israeli siege and blockade on the Gaza Strip as an: “abomination”.
