Letter to readers

Since 2006, WBT has published many thousands of articles covering a wide range of topics that affect workers and their organisations. For example we have published over 180 articles which deal with Ukraine and we have received over 70 comments.

As editor of WBT, it is my job to read and respond to such articles and comments (if necessary). This can be a time-consuming and thankless task involving early morning hours pouring over text. Editorial comment is usually in Cormorant Garamond. This is an attempt to differentiate what is editorial comment from the actual article, most of which are in Georgia font.

I do appreciate input from readers but WBT is not about having private conversations because the issues that we address are intended to be ‘in workers interest‘ (plural) as a group, not as individuals.

Might I suggest that, if people agree/disagree or have an opinion regarding WBT articles that they use the ‘letters to the editor‘ facility on the website either by making a comment in the space provided at the bottom of the article or by emailing the editor at the address below so that comments can be included with other letters to the editor.

We do appreciate people’s comments and articles that are sent in and try to give the issues raised as much coverage as possible.

Privacy
Workers BushTelegraph does not reveal its sources without consent.

Workers BushTelegraph is primarily for letters, original articles, original news, stories you can’t read elsewhere, original verse, original pictures, videos and music.
We will not publish racist or anti-worker sentiments.
We do not seek ‘balance’ in reporting when it favours the wealthy and powerful, the bigoted or the sectarian — readers will have to go to the mass media for that.

Topics covered on WBT
