Key messages:
1. The coal industry is economically unviable and will not create secure long-term jobs. Telling workers otherwise is deceptive and manipulative.
2. The state government has the power to stop this mine whenever they want. They ARE the lawmakers – pretending they have no choice but to approve this mine is an outright lie.
3. It’s time for mass civil disobedience. We HAVE the power to stop this mine going ahead, but the law has been crafted to serve corporate interests ahead of the long term public interest.
