This is just a reminder about the Alex Macdonald Lecture which will be held this Thursday, 7 May 2015 and the TLC building 16 Peel St South Brisbane. The function will commence at 5:30 p.m., with the lecture beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Professor Roger Scott, who is the Foundation Director of the T.J. Ryan Foundation, will be speaking on the subject of Mobilising Dissidence: The Relationship between Labour, Labor and the Wider Community in the 2015 State Election.

Admission to the lecture is free, and refreshments will be available.A flyer with the details of the event is attached. Please feel free to distribute the flyer to friends or colleagues who may find the lecture of interest. The Alex Macdonald Lecture is an annual event of the Brisbane Labour History Association, and is generously sponsored by the Queensland Council of Unions. The lecture commemorates former Queensland Trades and Labour Council Secretary, Alex Macdonald and the critical role unions have played in the labour movement in Queensland.
