      the following motion has been sent to the ACTU Indigenous Committee:that this community meeting held at St Teresa’s Church Garbutt on 2 August 2010 requests the Queensland Council of Unions and the the Provincial Councils of the Queensland …Council of Unions to undertake in conjunction with the Australian Council of Trade Unions and its appropriate committees a program of coordinated activities with the aim to make a national human rights issue of the Stolen Wages and Entitlements of specific Aborigines, Torres Strait Islanders, Australian South Seas Islanders and Australian Papua New Guinean people;

      that the Australian Council of Trade Unions be requested to encourage the state governments to implement the aims and objectives of the recommendations of the 2006 Senate Report “Unfinished business: Indigenous stolen wages” by a coordinated response of the Australian State Governments and the Australian Federal Government to conclude for once and for all the matters of the Stolen Wages.
