Residents might want to avoid driving along Main St, Kangaroo Point after 5pm this Friday, as Refugee Action Collective are organising another protest against the ongoing indefinite detention of refugees in Kangaroo Point.
Personally I think it’s disgusting that our federal government continues to imprison people without trial or legal justification, and I will be heading along to show my support. I’m inspired by the news that some of the refugees held in various hotels have recently been released into the community, and like thousands of people around this continent, I intend to keep advocating until all of them are free.
