Is radical change possible?

There are two important days for the working class in Brisbane. One is May Day where workers organisations gather and march to the exhibition grounds, often more than 60,000 people in number, a mass movement.

The other is International Women’s Day (IWD). There are many issues facing women, economic social and political. The women’s movement has always been one of the stronger movements in Qld because of the reaction and repression women have faced in this state.

IWD is a day of celebration for struggles won and for struggles ahead women are under attack in the home and on the streets. We need to stand up and fight for radical changeso that there is equality for all women and all members of human society.
