Misconduct in public office offences

This afternoon the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) charged, Allan Sutherland, a 63-year-old man from Newport with two counts of misconduct in relation to public office.

Sutherland was arrested by the CCC and transported to Fortitude Valley Police Station where he was formally charged with two counts of misconduct in relation to public office contrary to section 92A(1)(c) of the Queensland Criminal Code. This section says that ‘A public officer deals with information gained because of his office and who dishonestly gains a benefit us guilty of a crime.

Allan Sutherland bought a property [from David Trask of Trask Development Corporation] and is alleged to have bought a land in Burpengary knowing that it was to be re-zoned thus profiting on the deal.

Originally David Trask donated $100K to Sutherland’s campaign. Trask said that Sutherland cut red tape and that’s why he wanted him to be Mayor.

Sutherland was bailed and is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 5 February 2020.

As the CCC’s investigation remains ongoing and this matter is now before the court, the CCC says it is unable to comment further.

The CCC claims to be an independent agency combating major crime and reducing corruption for the benefit of the Queensland community.

  1. Yes Minister says:

I propose that a new watchdog be established with unlimited powers to investigate and penalize official criminals.

I volunteer to run it gratis.

Following established kangaroo tribunal protocols, decisions will be made prior to hearings (which will be dispensed with as a waste of time). I find every mayor and councillor guilty of gross malpractice (who gives a rats about evidence) and sentence them to a hundred years hard labour., with prizes awarded for the ‘hardest’ labour devised by constituents.

Same applies to every elected representative who doesn’t attend in a timely manner to inquiries by constituents. Those responsible for more serious complaints like treason (giving aliens control of water) and grave crimes against humanity to be rehabilitated by guillotine.

Obviously reviews and appeals will not be provided for.

The CCC ‘CLAIMS’ to be an independent agency combating major crime and reducing corruption for the benefit of the Queensland community. ………

I guess it fools some of the sheeple some of the time, although CCC stands for Crime Cover-up Commission and unless dragged kicking and screaming all the way, it goes to any length to protect official criminals.

The ONLY times the CCC has actually done anything is when other parties have made it absolutely impossible for the Crime Cover-up Commission to continue protecting ‘interesting’ individuals.

A quick check of its official reports to parliament reveals that only zero point eight percent of complaints are accepted, the vast majority being forwarded to the department about which the complaint was made for burial.

Then again, Caesar has always done an admirable job of exonerating Caesar.
