Another month where we’ve had an interesting sojourn, this time into the jungles of Borneo! We’re back and really looking forward to Foco Nuevo. Our guests — sure to be crowd pleasers — are Cachicamo Latin Harp, and Cody Jones and the Lost Company.Hope to see you tonight!Lachlan and Sue

Cachicamo Latin Harp
An exuberant group playing Latin American music with instruments such as the Colombian Harp and the Cuatro Llanero (Four Strings from the Plains). Accompanied by bass, vocals, and percussion, they have a great appeal with relaxed, cheerful rhythms.Cachicamo is a lively family group that showcases a diversity of music from the Andes to Cuba with Spanish, Portuguese, African, and Native American backgrounds; from sensual to cheerful they guarantee a vibrant experience across time and culture.

Cody Jones and The Lost Company
They have been performing in and around Brisbane over the last 8 years, honing their performance, songwriting and recording skills. The band incorporated folk, country and roots influences to create a collection of original songs on their first EP, One Way Street. The band is built around the songwriting talents of father and son songwriters Peter and Yance Jones, drummer Stephen Coates, and bassist Michael Jansen.

Jumping Fences
With a unique fusion of Latin American and original songs, Jumping Fences create a sensitive insight into the daily struggles of people. The song-writing partnership of Sue Monk and Lachlan Hurse, with Ross Gwyther and James Harper, play arrangements that move easily between tenderness and energy, supporting lyrics that weave a rich fabric from the poetry of everyday life.
