Assange – speed bump before extradition

I am merely at risk, consequent of providing
a speed bump to the war-making-state as they attempt
to extract Julian from his sanctuary.
They will have to get through me to get to him!

By 22 November 2018 it had became apparent that my friend and fellow long time Australian antiwar activist and later 2006 founder of the world shaking WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, was under imminent threat of armed extraction from the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

The Ecuadorian embassy that was once a sanctuary for Julian – has become a trap!

On November 22nd – with support from the London/Camden Catholic Worker (and its broader network) – I resumed a 24/7 solidarity vigil outside the Ecuadorian embassy, 3 Hans Crescent, Knightsbridge England.

I am now living 15 metres from Julian. I sleep under cardboard & heavy plastic in now, the English winter.

The difference is – Julian is in serious jeopardy of execution or life in U.S. imprisonment. I am merely at risk, consequent of providing a speed bump to the war-making-state, as they attempt to extract Julian from his sanctuary. They will have to get through me to get to him!

They despise Julian for exposing the war crimes of the rich and powerful! The same death-dealing states that lied about Weapons of Mass Destruction now lie about Julian Assange. And the same gullible people are believing them once again.

HOW YOU CAN OFFER SOLIDARITY?

* DEC 7TH 2018 – marks the 8th anniversary of Julian’s detention without charge in the U.K. He was initially held in solitary confinement in Her Majesty’s Prison Wandsworth before securing restrictive bail conditions at the High Court London.

This Friday Dec. 7th  – we are asking you to take Julian’s plight and peril to embassies and sites of the war-making / conniving governments of U.S / U.K. and Australia

In Australia, we are calling for solidarity at the Department of Foreign Affairs, MP’s electoral offices and other relevant sites

Write a postcard, Christmas card or letter of support to Julian Assange c/- Embassy of Ecuador, 3 Hans Crescent, Knightsbridge London, England

  1. Julian Assange has been fighting a legal battle for 8 years with no charge and a veiled threat of extradition.

To mark this occasion I will be conducting a vigil outside the British Consulate between
    1pm – 2pm this Friday 7 December 2018
100 Eagle St, Brisbane City QLD 4000

Please join to discuss how we might respond if Julian is removed over Christmas.

Please share this invite with your friends and colleagues.
