Our guests this month are two exceptional songwriters; Paul Bonetti and Caroline Hammond. It’s bound to be another night of great music! Hope to see you there, Lachlan and Sue.

Paul Bonetti: Brisbane singer/songwriter and composer Paul Bonetti serves up a wry, witty take on life through his straight-shooting singer songwriter ballads. Armed with his acoustic guitar and wide and agile vocal range, his guitar weaves around poignant vocal melodies that draw on a mix of folk and pop styles. Last year he took to the stage with an 8-piece band for the launch of his packed house second CD release Stop All The Clocks. [website].

Caroline Hammond is a singer/songwriter of insight and earthiness, influenced by a diverse range of styles from Blues, African ‘High Life’ to coffee house folk. Artful, lyrical & profoundly evocative, Caroline’s music is essentially about the magic of ordinary things. Together with the wonderful guitarist Craig Claxton, they create acoustic magic. [website]

Jumping Fences: the song-writing partnership of Lachlan Hurse and Sue Monk join forces with Ross Gwyther, Dan Simpson, James Harper and Robbie Stewart, to create an innovative style that is inspired by their long association with Latin American singer-songwriters. Dynamic arrangements move easily between tenderness and energy and their lyrics take the rich poetry of everyday life into bigger social themes, creating strong points of connection for their audiences.
