I am heading off to Dublin in time for the events around the 100th. anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising.

Check out Black 47’s “James Connoly”

and Fr. Joseph Mallin, SJ, the surviving child of one of the 1916 men executed.

These events had an a big impact on my father’s politics and view of the world, so it should be interesting.
I also hope to catch up with folks who supported us through out 3 Pitstop Ploughshares trials in Dublin

From Dublin I hope to head to Wales to catch up with the Mum, Aunts and Uncles of Chelsea Manning,

who is now in the 6th. year of a 35 year military prison term for exposing U.S. war crimes in Iraq & Afghanistan.

Hope to get to London to catch up with Julian Assange detained for 5 years now without charge. Presently
offered sanctuary in the Ecuadorian embassy where he has spent 3 1/2 years pursued by a U.S. grand jury.

Also hope to catch up to folks who have been involved in solidarity work around Chelsea Manning & Julian Assange
and anti-war work over these long years.
