Stockholm on “planet earth” and dirty wars

The site below, from the Stockholm Resilience Centre, dispassionately points out nine areas of concern for the “planet earth” at this time. The tipping point will quickly come if these variables are allowed to get out of control.

Given the continued, rapid industrial modernisation of India, China, Brazil, etc., together with the continued global exploitation of natural resources, rampant population growth, and the pollution of our oceans, the news is not great.

What is disconcerting is the scant enthusiasm and political will that is shown by either governments or industry to care and maintain this small planet Earth! Consciousness raising of genuine treats to our planet as a whole is miniscule indeed.
