Dear QCC Member, Group, Friends,
The Queensland Nuclear Free Alliance invites you, your family and your community members to join us at the 2011 Nuclear Free & Peaceful Queensland Workshop Day & Action Weekend.
With the crisis in Fukushima, a proposed radioactive waste dump in NT, potential uranium mines in Queensland and wars throughout the world, it is urgent that we get together for some education, talk and action.
Join us for some irradiation-free morning tea. Hear the stories of people fighting against uranium mines and nuclear waste dumps on their land, explore the ethics of uranium mining, the viability of nuclear power, and the implications of increasing military ties to nuclear weapons superpower! Get informed about the issues… and get active!
The activities will take place on April 16 and 17 in Brisbane. The first day, Saturday April 16 will be discussions, debate and a setting of priorities for action on the peace, military and nuclear issues facing Queensland and Australia. A Program is below/attached. The second day, Sunday April 17, the public is invited to join us for the annual Palm Sunday Rally for Peace and Nuclear Disarmament.
