Hi Everyone,
Their will be an ARC meeting this Thursday @ 6.30pm,Trades Labour Council bldg, 16 Peel St, South Brisbane,. Now that we have information on the National Day of Action around ‘Jobs With Justice’ we have a great chance to network more with the Unions, and push on some of the initiatives coming out of the ‘Defending Indigenous Rights’ convergence.
A quick update, Aboriginal rights work is coming along in leaps and bounds on the university campuses.
Since our last meeting, we’ve had regular meetings of the UQ Aboriginal Rights Working Group which has put on two events and has a film screening this Thursday.
As well as this, a QUT group is in the process of forming.
Other great news, since returning from the ‘Defending Indigenous Rights’ convergence, over 100 people have seen the reportback from the Justice Ride participants in Brisbane.
Let’s keep building the struggle against the racist Intervention and for Aboriginal rights.
