Fallen Angels features the exquisite voice of Amanda Gilmour, tasteful accordion by Rose Broe, and John Holmbergs hot mandolin and clawhammer banjo. Enriched with great harmony singing and underpinned with some cool fretless bass by Andrew Heath, this tight foursome of veteran performers pull together an entertaining and emotionally rich set from a diverse repertoire of folk, swing and bluegrass including Amandas passionate and cherished originals [website] [YouTube].

Tim O’Brien is a well-known contemporary finger-style guitarist who has performed and taught throughout Queensland for many years. Tim performs a great mix of acoustic fingerstyle music, using a range of guitars, from the not often heard Baritone Resonator guitar (described as having a ‘deep rich voice with a unique tonal colour’), a Martin Fingerstyle guitar and maybe even the less heard Banjo/Guitar. Tim is looking forward to his performance entitled “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” [website].

Jumping Fences the song-writing partnership of Lachlan Hurse and Sue Monk, will be playing their energetic mix of original and Latin American songs. Enjoying an extended line up, they will be accompanied by Ross Gwyther (tenor sax) Robbie Stewart (lead guitar), Dan Simpson (drums) and James Harper (percussion) along with Leonor Orellana. Their songs extend the folk tradition, and give new insights into contemporary life. [website]

hope to see you soon
