Too often the fight to protect our land, water and communities from mining is hard and depressing work. This weekend it’s time to unwind! Community dance group 5Rhythms Wake Up and Dance have organised a fundraiser for Lock the Gate Alliance inspired by the Bentley Blockade where thousands of local community gathered in community to protect our sacred land and water from invasive gasfields.

The night will begin promptly at 6pm with an OPENING CEREMONY and WELCOME TO COUNTRY by local indigenous elders. We will then be led in a high vibration 5RHYTHMS DANCE set by Honor Morningstar, followed by unleashing our wild freedom with WILD MARMALADE! Finally we will close with a prayer for unification, healing, and harmony, winding down at 9.30pm. CHAI AND TREATS will be available throughout the night by Sustainably Nourishing.
This event will be $30 on pre-purchase tickets, and $35 at the door. Tickets are limited to 100 so be sure to act fast. You will also be free to make further donations at the door. All money raised, after expenses will be donated to LOCK THE GATE. Everyone involved with the creation of this event is donating their time, energy and love free of charge.
Note this is a drug and alcohol free event.
